Mithai , a dark and surreal comedy, was on Sundaymorning launched on the auspicious occasion of Sankranthi.The film will be helmed by debutante Prashant Kumar and the launch event was graced by Vijay Devarakonda, director Sandeep Reddy of ArjunReddy fame and director Kranthi Madhav.Speaking on the occasion,
Vijay Devarakonda said, "The makers are good friends of mine. So, it's like my team!I have known Prashant Kumar since the days of PelliChoopulu .He was there with us during the pre-production of Arjun Reddy as well.He would be there at the office every day, giving us feedback whenever we wanted.Priyadarshi has been a close friend since 'PC'.Rahul Ramakrishna has become closer to me over the making of 'AR'.Vivek Sagar didn't compose the music for 3-4 of my movies.He is doing it for this film.I don't know if I have to feel happy or jealous.I am curious about this combination.It will be interesting to watch this dark comedy.I am curious to see the story."
